Strategic Workshop on Future of Human-Robot Collaboration

We organised a workshop bringing together key stakeholders to explore the future of human-robot collaboration technologies. The workshop convened representatives from manufacturing industries, investment firms, government departments, innovation agencies, and Māori researchers to discuss aspirations and potential development pathways in this rapidly evolving field.

The workshop facilitated dialogue on strategic directions for technological advancement while considering diverse perspectives, including indigenous knowledge frameworks. Participants examined how collaborative robots could enhance productivity across sectors while addressing cultural, ethical, and social considerations.

This cross-sector engagement represents an important step in developing a shared vision for human-robot collaboration that balances innovation with responsible implementation across New Zealand’s technological landscape.
